Brought together for the occasion, clubs 1545 Lounge Supper Club, Chalet, Copacabana, Fuzzy, Ivy Nightclub, La Boom, Muzique, Rouge, Seven, Suco, Tops Supper Club, Traffik and X.O. will all have their own space in Windsor Station, and the establishments will take turns in the spotlight as the evening progresses. The public will thus be able to step from one ambiance to another in a barrage of music and dance, all of it punctuated with live sets by artists as varied as Bad News Brown, B.D.S., Empire Isis, Eric Speed, Kra-Z-Noize, Marco alias Mr. Tam Tam, Mihaela Coman, Nella, Paul Lizzi, Ryan Stevenson, Sammy K and Underground Realroad?,000 people expected with the unheard-of opportunity of discovering or rediscovering these outstanding talents under one roof: – providing the roughly

A true innovator, Bad News Brown brought the harmonica into the world of hip-hop and electro with a soul-filled approach that has earned him invitations to appear onstage alongside artists like 50 Cent, Kanye West, Snoop, Ciara, Sean Paul and De La Soul. His performance will include the content of his new album, Born 2 Sin, released in the spring of 2010.

With her blend of hip-hop, ragga and pop, singer Empire Isis has quickly become one of the most prominent figures in urban music in Canada, and her unique talent has also aroused keen interest beyond our borders. Two examples: the hits “Going Home” and “Participate” from her album Brand New Style have figured on the soundtracks of a number of TV shows seen on major U.S. networks.

A violinist who plays lightning fast, Eric Speed is well known to Québec audiences for his frequent participations in primetime TV shows. Having developed a unique style characterized as electro speed, he stands out today as one of the quickest bows on the planet, armed with a virtuosity that works in tandem with extraordinary musical sensitivity.

A veritable human rhythm machine, Kra-Z-Noize uses his astonishing sound faculties to create complex rhythms all his own with hands and mouth, embodying a complete orchestra all by himself. Far from being content to impress beatbox style, he’s also distinguished himself as a singer and composer with songs like “Ou La La” and “Pas d’argent.” His fellow beatboxer B.D.S. will also be offering an unmistakably personal performance at some point in the evening.

No surprise that Marco is nicknamed Mr. Tam Tam. Infected with percussion madness from his earliest years, the Lebanese-born drummer is a virtuoso gifted with an exceptional sense of show. In demand for any number of special events on the Montreal club scene, he never fails to dazzle audiences with an incredible mastery of world rhythms.

A woman of multiple talents, Mihaela Coman first made a name for herself with the general public as a participant on the TV reality show Loft Story 5. Accomplished belly-dance specialist, singer with the group XOX, model and actress, the Montreal beauty will light up Destination with a vibrant demonstration of the art of Middle Eastern dance.

A finalist on MusiquePlus’s Karaoklip competition, singer Nella is an up-and-comer on the Montreal music scene. On the heels of the outstanding song “So What,” this new voice of R&B soul will soon be launching her first album.

Known among other things for playing behind singer Karl Wolf, super drummer Paul Lizzi specializes in mash-ups of pop songs, and performs solo in his Drum Lovin Tour. Another renowned drummer, Ryan Stevenson, will also take part in the event. A member of the groups Kamakazi and Red October, Ryan has a new hip-hop project going, which he’ll be presenting at Destination.

Formed in 2008 after producer Drex met up with rapper Big Bricc, the hip collective Underground Realroad has built a rock-solid reputation for itself with an uncompromising music, and was voted third best Montreal hip-hop group in Montreal Mirror’s “Montreal’s Best Of” poll. They’ll be accompanied for the occasion by guitarist Sammy K, who’s sat in on some of their productions.

Benefiting Santé Aide 2000

Destination won’t only be an opportunity to have fun,  it will also be a good way for people to affirm their sense of helping one another, since an important part of the revenues generated by the event will be turned over to the community organization Santé Aide 2000. Created in 2001, this organization comes to the assistance of the elderly in the East of Montreal. As part of its activities, Santé Aide 2000 offers home care, in addition to support services for members of the immediate family helping out, and works in collaboration with CLSCs and CHSLDs.
